Franklin Financial Corporation (the "Company"), a Virginia corporation, is the holding company of Franklin Federal Savings Bank (the "Bank"), a federally chartered capital stock savings bank. The Bank, which was founded in 1933, operates as a community-oriented financial institution with eight branches in its primary market area, which encompasses the City of Richmond and Henrico, Hanover and Chesterfield Counties in Virginia and the surrounding areas. The Bank engages in the business of attracting retail deposits from the general public and originating both owner and non-owner occupied one-to four-family loans as well as multi-family loans, nonresidential real estate loans, construction loans, land and land development loans, and non-mortgage commercial loans.
